Persons interested in being listed on the ballot must meet the following qualifications set forth by the people of the African Diaspora located in the Region of Europe

Why I Am the Most Suitable Candidate for the 6th Region Representative Position - The African diaspora holds immense untapped power—both as contributors to the continent’s development and as stewards of its future. This role is more than an opportunity; it is a mission to inspire, inform, and mobilise the diaspora to pour their resources, talents, and ideas into Africa’s growth. This is not just a role to me—it is a calling. I am deeply committed to uniting our diverse voices, amplifying our collective potential, and forging a legacy of empowerment and transformation for generations to come.
I stand before you as a candidate for the African Union 6th Region Assembly Election, driven by a vision for unity and progress that resonates deeply with the aspirations of the African diaspora. My journey, rooted in over three decades of public service, community development, and policy advocacy, has been shaped by a commitment to social justice, environmental sustainability, and inclusive governance. With a profound understanding of the pressing issues affecting Africa and the diaspora, I seek to harness our collective power to effect meaningful change for our continent and people of the African diaspora. I believe I fit all of the criteria outlined in the Official Applications of ECOSOCC
I am not in any way special or different from the other Candidates. I am an Afrikan living in the Diaspora. I am looking to represent my people living in the Diaspora and put them first in everything I do in this capacity. I can promise that, if they elect me in this role, their word, their dreams and aspirations will reach the decision-makers within the AU institutions ensuring that they are heard and they are seen. Governance, at its basic level means that those chosen to represent the people, only carry out that mandate and not their own interests. My mission in applying for this role is to put the ordinary Afrikan people, like myself, at the heart of decision-making.
My public service career has been steeped in policymaking and strategic advice formulation at the highest levels. I have a proven track record of supporting senior level strategic thinking across African Union Member States. I am trusted by Ministers and the most senior officials to provide high-quality advice, agree policy and operationalize decisions in complex and fast-paced environments. I am submitting my candidacy for one of the 20 representative positions for the African Diaspora in the ECOSOCC General Assembly as my experience, values, and vision strongly align with ECOSOCC's mission to engage civil society organizations in realizing the "Africa We Want" as outlined in Agenda 2063.
