The Following Criteria is hereby established by the Town Hall meetings for the provisional election of African Diaspora Representatives. Persons interested in being listed on the ballot must meet the following qualifications set forth by the people of the African Diaspora located in the Region of Canada

She has a breadth of professional experiences across several sectors including social services, higher education, financial services, community organizing and municipal government. Her areas of interest include the intersection of spirituality and health for diverse communities, peacebuilding and diplomacy, housing, sustainability and the mobilization of the African diaspora. She has also served as a board member for the YWCA Hamilton and OPIRG (Ontario Public Interest Research Group) McMaster at different points.

Greatness is an African possibility…” Chester Higgins Jr. It is with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of responsibility that I seek to represent the interests and aspirations of the African Diaspora in Canada. Having lived in Canada for more than 50 years, I have had the privilege of witnessing the resilience, creativity, and contributions of the Black community. I am a member of the Afro-Canadian Caribbean Association of Hamilton and District. My parents were founding members of this organization almost 50 years ago. My professional background in operations management and my active involvement in various community initiatives have equipped me with the skills and experience necessary to serve as an effective representative.
